Recruitment Consultant Education

Bristol salespeople wanting to get into #educationrecruitment:  When it comes to #recruitmentjobs, I’m not going to use words like driven or motivated anymore.   What do they even mean? Different things to different people.

What my client (😁) really needs is someone who can work hard.  Who wants to work hard.  

Who wants to learn something new, be open to being taught.  

The hours are long.  

You start early in the morning (7am).

The work rate is fast.  

You need a cool head under pressure.   

You probably need to be naturally organised and sales focused in your mindset.  

You also need to instinctively understand what details to take from a school when they ring to book (school name – the correct St Peters! /postcode/person who’s calling/year group/anyone you’ve had before/how long for/what do you need for the rest of the week etc).   

So maybe some experience on the phone taking orders, requests, messages etc.  

Or some experience in a territory type sales role that you’ve had to build out. 

You need a really good memory for names, locations and various idiosyncrasies of your temps (🤩)  (and schools!).  

You also need to be able to switch between matey comradery with your temps, and professional, trustworthy recruitment consultant for your clients.    

(You also need to be able to drive and have your own car).
